          JOB SUMMARY
          Performs fueling, lubrication and minor repairs of heavy equipment in the field in accordance with all safety regulations

          Example of Duties

          Work in this classification requires an individual to be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily.           TYPICAL CLASSIFICATION ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
          • Inspect and service vehicles with fuel, and perform preventative repair and maintenance.
          • Assist technicians with vehicle and mobile equipment repairs including engine, drive train, brakes, suspension, hydraulics, electrical systems and fabrication.
          • Operate a vehicle to provide field service or pick up parts.
          • Prepare and submit appropriate records of services performed.
          • To promote and adhere to the workplace values of accountability, commitment, and teamwork to help enrich lives beyond expectation.
          • Maintain absolute confidentiality of work-related issues, customer records, and restricted County information.
          • Perform other related duties as required.
          Minimum Requirements

          MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS TO PERFORM WORK:
          • High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
          • Two (2) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of equipment.'
          • Must be at least twenty-one (21) years of age.
          • Valid Driver's License with Arizona Driver's License within 30 days of hire.
          • Or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience may substitute for the minimum requirements.
          Special Requirements:
          • Class A CDL with HazMat endorsement is required within six (6) months of hire.
          • Must have the appropriate tools needed to perform the assigned duties.
          Supplemental Information

          Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

          • Knowledge of methods, tools, and equipment generally used to repair vehicles and equipment.
          • Knowledge of generally accepted safety practices and procedures.
          • Skill in completing service-related forms and reports.
          • Skill in reading and interpreting technical manuals and specifications.
          • Ability to use and care for hand and power tools.
          • Ability to work cooperatively with others.
          • Ability to follow and maintain safety standards and identify safety problems.
          • Ability to carry out oral and written instructions.
          PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
          The work is heavy and requires exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. The work also requires the ability to balance, crawl, crouch, handle, grasp, reach, perform repetitive motion, kneel, lift, pull, push, hear, speak, stand, stoop, walk, operate motor vehicles and/or heavy equipment, and demonstrate mental and visual acuity.

          WORK ENVIRONMENT:
          Work is performed in an environment with heavy equipment and machinery that could result in bodily harm to my co-workers or others. This position will be required to work 2nd shift.

          The hiring salary for this position is dependent upon experience, qualifications and position funding; starting salaries above the first quartile require additional approval.
